DataCreds are the native tokens of FairShare. They are a points-style utility token that represent a unit of value ascribed to a member’s data. DataCreds allow your members to earn based on the amount and type of data they share, and for you to only pay for the data access you need. Read more about DataCreds here.
What do DataCreds pay for?
Your DataCred balance goes towards 3 variable costs: member data storage, access to member data (insights reporting) and API reporting. DataCreds you spend are split between the user incentive pool (70%) and FairShare (30%). Read more about DataCreds here.
How do volume-based discounts work?
To allow for scalability, FairShare offers volume benefits: preferred DataCred exchange rate plans are available depending on the number of members you have or anticipate. Read more about DataCred exchange rates here.
How are my users incentivized to share their data?
DataCreds you purchase are split between FairShare (30%) and the user incentive pool (70%). The user incentive pool is the budget for engagement incentives and all per-user DataCreds feed into it. Users can redeem DataCreds for giveaways, affiliate offers, loyalty points, in-game currency and more.
